Airshows Are they a worthwhile experience?

Air show. (2024, April 18). At Nellis Air Force Base

In the entirety of my life, I never considered going to an airshow. But when a family member invited us out so Sand Diego to attend the Miramar Air Show, It was an opportunity we couldn’t let pass. With expectations not high, we set off. We arrived at the base, lines longer than Universal Studio, both in cars and on foot. Waiting, we hear a jet in the distance. Going near supersonic, the jets of the f-22 roared overhead, providing a spectacle that I’d never experienced.

As for airshows, this is the usual, a show of military prowess. From biplanes to fifth-gen fighters, to an occasional jet truck, airshows host it all. These shows aren’t expensive whatsoever either, in upcoming shows at Huntington Beach, they are only costing from $50 to $75 for entry. If you’re money-conscious and worry about where your money is going,  you don’t have to, its put back into the community, and since airshows bring a lot of tourism to cities that host them, you’re actively contributing to the city’s economy as well.

I would highly recommend the small investment, you get to see the most influential planes of different periods, and who knows you may even get to see the last flights of some of the most influential planes of the US Military’s fleet, like the A -10 warthog. Especially, if you are interested in aviation these may be a good way to gauge your interest in aviation, flying a commercial to military path.
