MOHI’s amazing volleyball team has worked so hard throughout their season against various different schools. They continue to fight through and win as many games as they can. They gain another victory after such an interesting and intense game against Baldwin Park.
Today is no different, as it’s a fantastic day for MOHI’s varsity girl’s volleyball team. In honor of those who have fought and beat cancer and the pink angels who have lost but fought so hard, it’s PINK OUT! Commemorating those who’ve gone through this cautious battle and wearing pink to help support them.
It’s crucial to bring awareness to the most common cancer found in women. In the US, the average woman has a 13% chance of developing breast cancer. In recent years, there have been a 0.5% increase in incident rates. Second to lung cancer, breast cancer has taken the most lives out of the other cancers. The fight is tough, and not everyone has access to medical help.
So even even as this month passes, along with the Girl’s Volleyball Season, it’s important to always commemorate those who are, and who have, gone through this battle with the utmost love you have to offer.
