Freshmen Assembly

Freshmen+Assembly

On the first day of November, the freshmen students were visited by a guest speaker who delivered an impactful talk on how to cope with depression.

The speech shed light on the various forms and shapes that depression can take, and how it can be difficult to detect in someone just by their outward appearance. The speaker emphasized the importance of not letting depression take control of one’s life and how it’s crucial not to judge someone based on their appearance, as we never truly know the struggles they might be facing behind closed doors.

The talk left a lasting impression on the students, who gained a better understanding of the complexity of depression and the need for empathy and support towards those who may be silently battling this condition.
