What’s your favorite scary movie? Is it a 1950’s horror movie? A 1980’s horror movie? How about a 2000’s horror movie? Whatever it is, now is a great time to binge-watch it with your favorite people and eat your favorite snacks!

1950’s, what a decade full of old-fashioned horror movies. First on our list we have Creature from the Black Lagoon, groups of scientists are putting their work and lives at risk trying to discover this mysterious creature in the most dangerous land of South America. The Blob, a 1950 original. Two teenagers are attempting to save their town from a giant gelatin monster devouring everything that it touches. 

Time for the 1980’s, a true terror to horror films. One, Two, Freddy’s coming for you… Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street, brought true fear for some people to not sleep. Don’t fall asleep, he’ll be in your dreams! “ HERE’S JOHNNY!”  A classic quote from Stanley Kubrick’s film The Shining, a giant hotel all to yourself in a snowstorm, but your father is chasing you and your mother around trying to kill you. 

Now we’re getting closer, 2000’s horror movies. “I want to play a game.” Here comes Billy the puppet on a tricycle. Saw, a horror classic coming back into popularity. Jigsaw is kidnapping people who don’t value their lives and setting them up for traps to survive. Are they willing to do what it takes to live? The choice is theirs. “You will die in seven days.” Up next is The Ring, don’t watch the tape, you’ll end up getting a phone call. Rachel is getting skeptical and decides to watch the tape, now she has seven days to figure out this mystery. 

Let’s jump straight into 2020 and talk about Damien Leone’s gut wrenching film, Terrifier 2. Art the Clown makes his grand return to terrorize a teenage girl and her younger brother, leaving the town as a bloody mess. Evil Dead Rise, a nail biter movie directed by Lee Cronin. The rise of the flesh-possessing demons shortens the visit of two sisters visiting each other. The family must survive their most loved person, Ellie.
