The Advanced Placement (AP) is a program where students take standardized exams of specific courses such as Statistics and Psychology. This enables them as high school students to experience college-level studies. Taking an AP course at Montclair High school boosts your GPA as it adds an extra point so it helps to impress college admission officers.

At the end of every school year, students take their AP exams which overall tests the range of all they’ve learned through the year. The tests are scored on a scale of 1-5 and if passed above a 2, the student will receive college credit. Taking AP classes in high school is worth it with its variety benefits and although it can be challenging, it is amazing to challenge yourself.
