On April 4th of this year, a second teaser trailer was released for the Barbie movie as well as new posters. These posters revealed the official cast of the movie and they were quick to surprise people. Aside from Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling being the main Barbie and Ken, there is also Dua Lipa, Micheal Cera, Emma Mackey, Will Ferrell, and more.

Micheal Cera in particular has been taken up for interest by the internet because, in the fictional world of Barbies and Kens, he plays Allan. Allan was a doll in the 60s who was supposed to be Ken’s best friend and even fit into all of Ken’s clothes. He was discontinued because of some controversy surrounding the doll. However, it’s a mystery whether Mattel will bring back Allen if the movie is a success.

The teaser trailer also revealed a lot more about the Barbie world. So far, it perfectly captures the colorfulness and brightness that we love about Barbie. It is so pink and vibrant that it feels like there’s some irony to it. Greta Gerwig, who also directed Lady Bird and Little Women, is one of the co-writers so it wouldn’t be surprising if there was a deeper, hidden meaning behind the movie.

This new release of information has only made fans much more excited for the official release. Barbie does not look like she’ll disappoint.
