I asked a few teachers what they do for the holidays—traditions, activities, food, etc.
But one thing that I found interesting was that most of the answers were that they put up a fake Christmas tree but prefer real ones.
For one of my interviews, I asked Mr. Holmes for a response. Mr. Holmes said, “I prefer a real Christmas tree, but I get both, I put the real one outside in my front yard and a fake one inside the house. They’re about the same size and it’s less mess to clean up after the holidays.” This is a nice idea if people like the aesthetic of a real Christmas tree but hate the mess.
I also asked for an opinion from Ms. Lopez. She said, “I prefer real, but I get a fake tree. It’s less mess to clean up but I love the smell of a real Christmas tree.” It seems a lot of people don’t like a mess after the tree is taken out.
All in all, if you don’t mind cleaning up the remaining’s of a tree, you should get a real tree. The benefits of the smell and look is beautiful.
