Get to know our new MOHI Spanish teacher, Srta. Bañuelos!

There is a new Spanish teacher on campus, Srta. Bañuelos!

Srta. Bañuelos is an incredibly kind and caring teacher. She is the newest addition to our CAV family.

She stated she ” loves Montclair High School, it’s a welcoming and friendly school.”

Another reason she loves Montclair is because the district is close to her heart “I graduated from Alta Loma High School so it’s in the Chaffey district and it’s always been my dream to come back to the Chaffey district.”

She originally “wanted to be an English teacher first. But when I was in high school, I won a scholarship to study in Spain, and I fell in love with the culture in Spain. Then I traveled through Mexico for a little bit with my family. I just completely fell in love with it, and I’ve been studying Spanish for 10 years now.” Srta. Bañuelos adores her students very much, and she “loves being a teacher, I love creating a safe environment for my students as well as a fun environment. Especially in a Spanish class, we need to have fun. So if this can be the only fun class you have, then I have done my job.”

Goals are important. Srta. Bañuelos´s goals for her first year at MOHI are to “Not get too far behind, because I started late, more than a month late with you guys. And having fun and making sure you guys enjoy this class and feel welcomed. As well as hopefully inspiring my students to continue learning Spanish

One interesting fact about Srta. Bañuelos is that she travels a lot. “I think I’ve traveled to like 15 different countries now.” her favorite adventure was  to New Orleans. “it was amazing. I went to where they filmed Vampire Diaries. It was so much fun, I love to travel.”

Srta. Bañuelos, is very excited to be working here and engaging with all the wonderful students and staff. Let’s all show her our CAV spirit and make her feel welcomed and at peace working here.
