During the summer, most parks open up a splash pad for people to cool off and play. Now with the hot weather calming down and autumn returning parks in San Bernardino County are closing up their splash pads until the next summer season.
Unfortunately, our local splash pad at Alma Hofman Park had to remain closed throughout this summer due to supply chain issues. The city of Montclair is committed to keeping its residents safe, so each summer for the health and safety of Splash Pad users, the City repairs, replaces, and upgrades all water filtration and purification systems. Even though efforts were made to replace these systems, the city had difficulties procuring parts for the UV sanitation system they use at the pad. Although unfortunate that the splash pad was closed this summer, it’s nice seeing that the city of Montclair takes great care of our citizans health.
