“ONE TEAM, ONE FIGHT”

The anticipating desire to be the best approaches every year for our fall sports, but to be the best one has to be willing to grow enough mentally as much as one would grow physically. Each individual in a team must be able to overcome the hardships of losses and accept them for what they are in order to push oneself further into consistency.

Strong passion for the game and fierce efforts paid off on September 13, 2022, after our Lady Cavs dominated the recent rivalry game against Ontario high school. Within their first official league game of the year and with each other’s support, the Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team was able to carry on another vigorous victory leading to a 3-0 final score. This team has been able to maintain strength through their astonishing unity and their consistent training, allowing them to stride into a streak of eleven consecutive wins. It appears from not only the numbers, but from the performances as well, that these girls have equally as much trust in each other’s skills as they do in their own individual capabilities making them easily reliable.

As impressive as this commence is, this is also no surprise from our varsity girls and this may very well not be the first time we are able to witness this level of vigor and commitment. For the duration of last year’s volleyball season, our Lady Cavs trained with everything, and really put their all in order to reach new ethics. With this continuous immense amount of dedication, they were more than qualified for the first round of the 2021-2022 CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS). Knowing that these standards can be met once again, not only have these girls been training harder as athletes but they have been growing closer as one equal team for one equal fight.

Volleyball is my favorite sport. I am actually a pro at it myself.
